I'd love to know what cocktail you order at the bar and what you like to make at home. Have you stumped a bartender ordering a cocktail they just didn't understand.
Too bad so many bartenders fail at making a well rounded yet still tart Whiskey Sour.

I went to a bourbon dinner and they served bourbon with sparkling cider. I was amazed at how good it was. Better than a mimosa for brunch.

I find that ice cubes compliment bourbon pretty well. :) Arctic Buffalo in the summer!

Yea I feel like the mint compliments the bourban rather than overpowering and covering up the taste.

Agreed, peach and bourbon is good, and I don't see anything wierd with mint leaves, that's a very popular addition to a few cocktails, mint julip for instance.

Ok so I know this sounds CRAZY and everyone looks at me strange when I suggest it, but bourbon mixed with peach flavored anything is awesome! Sometimes I'll cut up peaches and put the slices in my BT on the rocks. I'll even crush up some mint leaves, which I know is wierder... or at least everyone who's seen me do it so far thinks so :)
